Job Description:
Providing quality resident care to empower residents to reach and maintain the highest level of functional ability.
As their Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing residents functional abilities while ensuring a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Director to assess, develop, organize, and implement individualized resident care programs using specialized Speech Therapy (ST) procedures.
Efficiently manage caseload, identifying residents through screening processes, and scheduling individual or group treatments while meeting productivity expectations.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on Speech Therapy techniques for continuation post-discharge.
Maintain adherence to PPS guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation and billing procedures.
Provide supervision and education for therapy technicians and affiliated students under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Director.
Ensure a safe and hygienic environment, and comply with ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.
Residents' Rights Functions:
Uphold resident confidentiality and dignity, fostering self-worth through compassionate care.
Knowledgeably adhere to Residents' Bill of Rights and promptly report grievances or complaints to appropriate authorities.
Immediately report any incidents involving rehab staff to RVP.
Physical Requirements:
Good physical and mental health with the ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, fine hand-eye coordination, and acute hearing.
Maintain visual and hearing acuity to monitor residents' conditions and respond promptly to calls.
Effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and medical personnel.
Other Job Functions:
Pursue continuous professional development by participating in continuing education, seminars, and training programs.
Attend all mandatory in-services to stay updated on industry best practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
